Outer Space Men Infinity Series 3, 4 Arrived!

Reviews (and more pictures) to follow, but I just wanted to snap a quick picture of the delayed but delightful new figures. This batch includes painted versions of Mystron, Commander Comet, Alpha 7, and Electron+.

As these are the fourth release of the molds, it's great to finally see their intended forms up close. I'll try to have at least one reviewed in the next week!

Final Cosmic Creators Outer Space Men Revealed: Blazing Inferno

They saved the best for last! Blazing Inferno is a clear red figure with paint over it, giving the figure a gorgeous effect you'll probably also just love. I dig it.

Mel Birnkrant discusses this and all four figures on his own site. Just go here to see everything, including development images, bios, and more.

Cosmic Creators Outer Space Men Revealed: Goldiac!

The third Cosmic Creators figure has been revealed! Meet Goldiac, a swell repaint of Xodiac in gold with some extra gold on the side. Of the three, this one stands out as being the most different compared to previous releases.

Review: Four Horsemen Outer Space Men Beta Phase Commander Comet Action Figure

Four Horsemen Outer Space Men Beta Series Commander Comet Action FigureArguably the least fanciful of the aliens in this line is Commander Comet, the Man from Venus who may as well be an angel or some dude from Earth. The bio on the packaging indicates his people visited ancient Earth and enjoyed Greece, so I guess there's an Icarus vibe. (He does remind one of Pit, who would come 20 years later and half a world away.) Anyway, where was I? Right. This Beta Phase version is limited to about 300 pieces and was sold at New York Comic Con first, and is cast in yellow plastic. The previous release was a clearish yellowy orange, so it's not exactly a huge difference-- compared to the contrast between 2010 releases, it's actually kind of disappointing it wasn't like black or green or something not closely related to orange.

Revealed: Cosmic Creators Metalmorpho Outer Space Men Figure

The second of four upcoming exclusive figures has been revealed. Meet Outer Space Men Cosmic Creators Series Metalmorpho, which is a lot like the regular version except shiny.

...as part of a $125 figure quartet with an art print, I was expecting something a little fancier or at the very least, more different than previous releases.

The set will go on sale at the Toypocalypse show in New York starting February 10, 2012.

First Cosmic Creators Outer Space Men Revealed: Astro-Nautilus Birnkrant Edition!

As reported yesterday! The very first Cosmic Creators Astro-Nautilus has been revealed and as of yet there's no indication if it will come in special packaging or is hand-painted.

It appears to be similar to the 2010 release of the Infinity Edition with some extra color. His suit is now black, it was copper/bronze before. The weapon is gold, like the Galactic Holiday 2010 variation, and his skin is a darker purple with more metallic, pearly shine to it.

Review: The Outer Space Men Beta Phase Alpha 7, the Man from Mars

When I saw the first look at Alpha 7 from the Beta Phase series, I had to do a double-take. "Wait..." I said. "Didn't I just buy a clear green version of this guy?" Well, sort of-- the San Diego version is bluegreen, and this one is more of a pure green. So it's different, but could be more different. Cast in green, he has orange ABS parts to round out the complete figure.
